An off-leash dog park could be coming to your
neighborhood soon! Due to tremendous community support for our plan at Sunnyside Park
at 84th and Summit, Mayor Funkhouser has appointed a citywide "dog park" task force to recommend a master plan for
more dog parks in Kansas City, Missouri.
The task force plans to submits its research and recommendations by Spring
or early summer of 2009. A nearby dog park raises property values and makes
your neighborhood more desirable to homebuyers.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world; indeed, it's
the only thing that ever has.” -- Margaret Meade
(Small, thoughtful, committed dog)
Mayor Funkhouser asked KCMO's parks commissioners
to increase Kansas City's parks usage, and WOOF wants to help!
